What We Do
ICJS Spring Mini-Course
Art and the Religious Imagination
Jewish & Christian Perspectives
A course co-taught by
Rabbi Charles L. Arian
Dr. Rosann M. Catalano
Dr. Christopher M. Leighton
The Rev. John E. Roberts
Open to friends and members of the ICJS
Poetry, narrative, and the visual arts are powerful re-sponses to the mystery of being human. Because works of art engage the imagination, Jews and Christians oftentimes view them very differently. Each session will feature a brief presentation, followed by analysis of spe-cific texts or visual art, and a discussion among panelists and participants. Bring a friend, join old friends, and make new ones in an atmosphere of lively exchange and challenging conversation!
