The Institute for Christian & Jewish Studies invites care-givers to a conference that will investigate the distinct contributions medical and religious professionals offer Jews, Christians, and Muslims, as they struggle with the physical, psychological, and spiritual challenges of dying.
At the end of this conference, participants should be able to help individuals:
- identify and address the unfinished business of their lives;
- differentiate realistic hope from wishful thinking; and
- take requisite steps to achieve what they understand as "dying well."
This conference is designed for physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, hospice staff, nurses, and clergy. No special background is needed for physicians.
