Seeing God in Torah

A course taught by
Rabbi Joel H. Zaiman

In Traces of God, Neil Gillman writes, "The Torah is re-plete with references to hearing God, but precious few references to seeing God. Seeing is complicated. What we look for and see are traces of God's presence in the world ... but not God. In order to identify those traces as reflections of the divine presence, we need to re-examine how we see, what we see, and how we interpret that information."

A Jew comes "face to face" with God (sees God) in the study of Torah. How does that work? How does that happen? Together we shall "see."

The ICJS invites you to come study with Rabbi Zaiman, who begins his tenure as ICJS Jewish Scholar/Consultant with this exciting program. Bring a friend, join old friends, and make new ones in an atmosphere of lively exchange and stimulating discussion!
