Abraham’s Children engages the complexities of what is shared and what is unique in the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim traditions.
To meet the challenges of religious intolerance in America today, the ICJS recognizes the imperative for Jews and Christians to know their Muslim neighbors better through conversation around the study table. Realizing that the Abrahamic relationship is paradigmatic for understanding both the possibilities of religious pluralism and the dangers of religious conflict, ignorance, and misunderstanding, the ICJS is launching Abraham’s Children, a 12-week adult educational curriculum that guides Jews, Christians, and Muslims in interreligious dialogue.
The following reflections are written by instructors about their experience teaching the very first four-week course of Abraham’s Children, which will run until the first week of April. Each week a new reflection will be added.
