The Institute Volume 15, Autumn 2005 We are pleased to welcome two new members of our Board of Trustees who will begin their service this fall. Father Richard Bozzelli is the pastor of Corpus Christi Church in the Bolton Hill neighborhood of Baltimore City. Prior to his appointment there in 2000, he served as associate pastor of St. Louis Church in Clarksville, Howard County, and Shrine of the Little Flower in Northeast Baltimore. While an associate pastor, Fr. Bozzelli was active in religious education and youth ministry programs. Since 1996, Fr. Bozzelli has served on the steering committee of "Beyond the Boundaries," a program of the Archdiocese of Baltimore that seeks to educate Catholics on the interdependence of Baltimore City and its surrounding counties and the need to address such issues as racism, poverty, and housing from a regional perspective. He has participated in ICJS activities since his ordination to the priesthood in 1994. A native of the Philadelphia suburbs, Fr. Bozzelli holds degrees from the Johns Hopkins University, Harvard University Law School, and St. Mary's Seminary & University. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar. Rabbi Steven Schwartz has served Beth El Congregation since 1998, currently filling the role of associate rabbi. He is a graduate of Brandeis University, received a master's degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, and was ordained as a rabbi from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. He serves as the secretary of the Baltimore Board of Rabbis and is involved with the Institute for Christian & Jewish Studies inter-faith text study. In addition to the ICJS board, Rabbi Schwartz serves on the boards of the Darrell Friedman Institute, the House of Hope, and the Jewish Vocational Service. He is the community-at-large member of the Johns Hopkins internal review board. Rabbi Schwartz, his wife Rebecca, and their three children reside in Owings Mills, Maryland.
