The Institute Volume 14, Autumn 2004 Upcoming Events and Projects the Seeds of Religious Conflict No community of any size is immune to the tensions associ-ated with the threat of global terrorism. Events in countries and cities far from Baltimore command the attention of our community's corporate and civic leaders and highlight the need for a deeper understanding of the underpinnings of religious conflict. To help facilitate this learning the ICJS and the Asso-ciated Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore have planned a series of gatherings for a diverse cross section of men and women who have been recognized for their leadership and wisdom. During this forum participants will study and discuss ideas that illuminate the core antagonisms between Christians and Jews and address the complex challenges posed by reli-gious diversity around the globe. The ICJS and the Associated forum will explore the meaning of leadership as practiced in Judaism and Christianity during three two-hour sessions. The curriculum will incorporate current events, text study from Jewish and Christian sources, and per-sonal reflection on related topics in an open and relaxed setting. Scholars from both faith traditions will lead each session. To nominate a leadership forum participant or for further information about the program contact Laura Riger at 410-523-7227 x10.
