The ICJS Celebrates 25 Years
The 25th Anniversary of the Institute for Christian & Jewish Studies provides us with the opportunity to tell a remarkable story and to profile some extraordinary people. In the coming months we will feature some of the individuals who envisioned this organization and anchored its lofty ambitions on solid ground. The task of confronting an anguished history and moving beyond a legacy of distrust and hostility is not a job for the faint-hearted. Every other week we will introduce you to people who pioneered the way and who continue to envision new possibilities. We hope that you will find inspiration in their musings and be emboldened to embark on similar adventures.

We are pleased to present our first interview in the series, with George Hess, a longtime member and current Cochair of the ICJS Board of Trustees. George was one of the founders of the ICJS in 1986 along with Charlie Obrecht, Bernie Manekin, Rick Berndt, George Bunting, and many others.
